Every now and then it feels like life is just not moving forward. It's like we're going through the motions. Same s$&t different day. Then all of a sudden you reach a point where you look back and suddenly realise you have moved and shifted from where you were. Whether that's in mindset or actual physical movement. It's as if you were on autopilot and barely have any memory of the feelings you had as you moved from one way of being to where you are now. On reflection the ease in which you moved through that period in your life cycle just seemed to effortlessly flow with little anxiety, fear or resistance. Then, there are the times where you can feel and sense the shift before it's even a thought or plan in your mind.
Anxiety? Uncertainty for no apparent reason? Panic? Your thoughts race to reach any logical conclusion they can to why your feeling this way? "Obviously something is wrong" , obviously something bad is going to happen" these thoughts chatter to you as you go about your day with that inner 'some sort of feeling'.
Here's some food for your thoughts....... Your subconscious is connecting to your intuition loud and clear. A shift is on the horizon. A change is brewing, a significant one at that. And you know it. You feel it. It is necessary and it is ok.
And then you doubt it? And question the intuitive knowing your feeling deep down?
That is what's brewing the negativity towards this feeling. "Something is off" your mind concludes. The conscious mind automatically assumes that this off feeling must mean something is wrong. Your mind says it's the most intelligent part of your existence and it hasn't created this feeling, so it can't be good. Because to your conscious mind that's the only logical explanation. Enter anxiety. Enter fear. They will support the minds conclusion. Hey, they will even feed it and help it grow.
The mind is funny like that. It likes to be in control. But if we could only support and nurture it enough to trust in our feelings more, especially the positive and connected ones, we could cruise through our life journey and the necessary life cycles with so much more ease and content and maybe even enjoy it (the good and not so good) a whole lot more.
When you trust your inner connection, knowing, intuition it can be that easy. For its then when you trust that inner knowing and nurture it and tell it "yes I know my dear, I can feel that feeling that's new and different and could possibly overwhelm me if I let it, but this time I might just try and give it some room to sit. I'll let this feeling sit and make itself at home. I'll offer it comfort and warmth. I'll offer it love and room to be. I'll allow it to grow and feel nurtured."
Because, if I feed this feeling with love and warmth and space to be, it will be.
And if I feed this feeling with fear and anxiety and negativity, it will be.
I will feel greatful for this feeling that has come to me at this time. Because staying in the same place with no change having the same experiences makes me feel, well it makes me feel flat. And low. And boring. And negative. And that feeling makes it hard for all of the flow of life to happen.
Because that's what will be. Life will flow. The wheels of the journey will turn. They are guaranteed to turn. And they will. Whether I look at them in a negative or a positive way, they will turn. The flow may be more of an uphill journey if I feed it with negativity, or an easy roll downhill if I release resistance and let it roll. But resistance will not stop the cycles and flows of life. It will just cause stress and tension and negativity to amplify.
So if you are feeling the symptoms of a cycle shifting and rolling in some new energy decide which way you want to roll.
Allow yourself to trust in the flow and cycles of life. Allow yourself to trust your inner knowing and allow the mind to release its resistance. By releasing resistance you will become free. Tell that monkey mind of yours to let go. If it holds on to crap it will get caught in a cycle of hard times, pain, resistance panic and fear. Much like the monkey in the clip below, our mind can hold on to things that get us caught up in situations we really don't want to be in... (It's ok, the money is ok). But if he only knew that all he had to do to be free was to let go.
Tell your monkey mind your going to let go this cycle, and see how amazing the shift can be for your life.
How do you treat your monkey mind? I'd love to hear your ideas on how you already do, or will start setting your monkey mind free.
