"all I want is balance in my life"
How many times have you caught yourself saying or hearing this statement. "I want more time to do what I love, I want to balance my work and home life."
But how do you achieve Balance in your life? Its so easy to want this statement, but when it comes time to actioning it the walls come up. Its overwhelming thinking of all of the things you need to shift in order to create balance with work and family, balance with time for yourself and time for friends and loved ones. I can feel my pulse rate rise as I allow that overwhelm feeling take control of my dreams for balance and virtually force my mind to "shut that idea down RIGHT NOW and get on with your work! "
There is a way, that is so simple it may have not even stuck long enough in our mind to make an impact.
Live in the MOMENT
By living in the moment, what ever you are doing, and where ever you may be, you are allowing yourself to be 100% present in that time. By being completely present you are showing up and giving attention where it will be most useful and productive, and also respected. Playing with your children while thinking about work and tasks that need to be done takes you away from the moment with your children. Being at work and unfocused on tasks wastes your time and productivity, which ultimately leads to job dissatisfaction.

So it may not be a matter of cutting back the hours at the office, but more a condition of showing up, wherever you are, and living, breathing and enjoying the moment.
